The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph 26170 is the 42 mm Offshore chronograph that carried the house's own calibre. From the Offshore's 1993 launch until 2007 these chronographs ran the calibre 2226/2840, a Jaeger-LeCoultre blank with Dubois Dépraz under-dial work bolted on; in 2007 that gave way to the 3126/3840, which keeps the Dubois Dépraz module on Audemars Piguet's in-house 3120 base, and the reference numbers moved with it: the cream-dialled "Safari" went from 26020ST to 26170ST at that point. It was made in steel, titanium and pink gold across many dials and straps, so the bare reference stem covers watches that look very little alike. The one pictured is 26170ST.OO.D101CR.02, in steel with a silver-white Méga Tapisserie dial. (Jomashop)
