The Cartier Tank Louis Cartier W1529856 is an 18-karat yellow-gold small-model Tank on a leather strap, running quartz — a current execution of the rectangular Tank that Louis Cartier drew in 1917, its flat vertical "brancards" said to echo the tracks of a Renault tank seen from above. The Louis Cartier line is the purest form of the design: clean brancards flush with the strap, a rail-track minute ring, Roman numerals, and the blue sapphire cabochon in the crown, with no date or complication to break the geometry.
