Casio A163WA-1QES
More actions
The Casio A163WA-1QES is the silver metal-band member of Casio's "vintage" digital family, close cousin to the A158 and A168 but distinguished by a raised, beveled resin crystal, a period LCD typeface, and, the detail that separates it from the otherwise near-identical A168, a single amber LED micro-light in place of the A168's electro-luminescent backlight. It pairs a chrome-plated resin case with a folded stainless-steel bracelet, and is a roughly €40 watch that looks, at a glance, like a much older one. (G-Central) In Saltburn (2023) it sits on Oliver Quick's wrist as the one honest object in a house of inherited silver and old money; a screen-used example was later offered at auction, corroborating the A163WA-1Q identification made by watch spotters.
