The Casio G-Shock DW-6400B-1 is the darker of the two January 1994 executions of the DW-6400, the G-Shock collectors nicknamed “Gundam” for its armour-plated look: a brushed steel faceplate fixed by four hex-socket screws, massive wrap-around shock bumpers, and the wrist-rest absorbers that first appeared on this case before returning on the G-001 and GW-7900. It runs module 901 with a microlight bulb (the DW-6400 shipped months before the DW-6600 brought electroluminescent backlighting to the line) behind 200 m water resistance, and the B-1 pairs its grey-on-black colourway with a woven cloth-and-leather band, while the khaki DW-6400C-1 served as the larger-volume export version.
