The Diesel DZ7076 is a digital watch from the Italian fashion label Diesel, released in 2008 as one of a pair of OLED-screen models alongside the DZ7086. Rather than a conventional LCD it uses an organic light-emitting display, whose pixels generate their own light, so the readout appears as bright characters floating on an otherwise black face. The case is solid stainless steel, the strap genuine leather, and the display is driven by a quartz movement. It matters as a period piece from the brief late-2000s vogue for OLED watch displays, when the screen technology itself was novel enough to be the selling point. (iTech News)
