In the hidden room found in Elisabeth Campbell's basement (bed, bondage gear, wall-mounted security camera and VCR wired to it), a gloved hand reaches up to pull a labeled VHS tape from a shelf beside the camera. Per the film's own plot record, it is Chief Warrant Officer Paul Brenner (John Travolta) who gathers these tapes alone in this room, immediately before a masked intruder attacks him from behind and steals them — matching this exact framing (single gloved hand/forearm, camera and tape shelf, no one else present). A steel round-case chronograph with a dark dial, a visible subdial, and a brown/tan leather strap is visible on the wrist just above the latex evidence glove's cuff, worn under a tan trench-coat sleeve consistent with Brenner's plainclothes-investigator wardrobe, now legible enough to make out the crown, a subdial, and the strap's stitching.
