Summary

Description: Studio publicity/on-set still from The Towering Inferno (1974). Steve McQueen, in character as San Francisco Fire Chief Michael O'Hallorhan, is shown from the chest up in fire-chief turnout coat, sweat-streaked and dirt-smudged from the blaze, speaking urgently into a corded telephone handset. His left wrist, raised to hold the handset to his ear, carries a steel Oyster-bracelet dive watch consistent with his personal Rolex Submariner, clearly visible below his coat cuff.
