The Garmin D2 is an aviator's GPS watch that Garmin announced in October 2013 as its first timepiece built specifically for pilots. Beyond timekeeping it carries a worldwide aviation database with Garmin's signature Direct-To and Nearest navigation, and it can hold a flight plan and follow it on a moving-map display with HSI course guidance, driven by a built-in WAAS GPS receiver. The watch adds a highly accurate altimeter with an adjustable barometric setting, altitude alerting, a compass and a display of both local and Zulu/UTC time, with data fields for ground speed, track and glide ratio.
