The IWC Big Pilot's Watch reference IW500901, introduced in 2002, revived the oversized navigator's watch IWC first built in 1940. A commanding 46 mm stainless steel case houses the automatic Calibre 51111, whose Pellaton winding delivers a seven-day (168-hour) power reserve at 21,600 vibrations per hour, tracked by a recessed reserve indicator at three o'clock with a date at six. The oversized conical crown, luminous Arabic numerals and orientation triangle follow cockpit-instrument convention, and a soft-iron inner case guards against magnetism; it is rated to 6 bar.
