Jean-Claude Brialy (1933-2007) was a French actor who became one of the leading men of the French New Wave, appearing in Claude Chabrol's Le Beau Serge (1958) and Jean-Luc Godard's A Woman Is a Woman (1961) alongside Anna Karina and Jean-Paul Belmondo, and later in Éric Rohmer's Claire's Knee (1970).
