The Rolex Daytona 6263 is a manual-wind chronograph powered by Rolex caliber 727, from the second generation of Cosmograph Daytonas introduced in 1971 alongside the steel-bezel 6265 and produced until 1988. Examples fitted with the "exotic" dial, cream sub-registers, contrasting outer track, and red "Daytona" script, are nicknamed "Paul Newman" dials after the actor's own well-known example, and today command steep premiums among vintage Rolex collectors.
