Rolex Oyster Quartz Day-Date 19019
More actions
The Rolex Oyster Quartz Day-Date 19019 is a 36 mm white-gold reference from Rolex's Oysterquartz family, produced for nearly 25 years and discontinued by the early 2000s. Unlike the mechanical Day-Date, the Oysterquartz runs Rolex's own caliber 5055, an 11-jewel quartz movement developed in the 1970s as part of the brand's response to the quartz crisis; then-CEO André Heiniger insisted the line carry a visual identity distinct from its mechanical counterpart, giving the Oysterquartz case and bracelet an integrated, angular design unlike any other Rolex. Jackroad's costume-loan archive credits Kotaro Yoshida's Yoshihiro Kurosaki with the reference in Kaiji: Final Game. (Jackroad)
