The Suunto X10 Military is the tactical version of Suunto's X10 wrist-top GPS, itself the 2008 successor to the X9i and among the smallest wrist-worn satellite navigators of its day. It joins GPS recording of tracks, routes and up to 500 waypoints, with track-back guidance to retrace a route, to the full ABC set of barometric altimeter, barometer and digital compass. The military configuration adds bearings in mils as well as degrees, a reversed display lit by a red backlight to preserve night vision, and non-reflective black hardware. The instrument weighs 76 g, is water resistant to 100 m, and runs on a rechargeable cell topped up over the supplied USB cable, which also carries logged trips to a computer.
