The TAG Heuer Aquaracer 500M Calibre 5 is the automatic diver TAG Heuer introduced in 2009, the point at which the Aquaracer shed the curves of the old 2000 Series for a squarer case and a genuine saturation-diving specification. The 43 mm steel case is rated to 500 m and carries, for the first time in the line, an automatic helium escape valve, along with an oversized screw-down crown and a unidirectional bezel faced in ridged rubber with applied metal numerals. The self-winding Calibre 5 drives a legible dial of sword-shaped hands and bold markers, with a date under a magnifying cyclops.
