The TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 5 is the plain three-hand version of a model that began, in 1963, as Jack Heuer's motorsport chronograph — the Carrera named for the brutal Carrera Panamericana road race and built to be legible at speed. This modern reading drops the chronograph for a date-only automatic on the Sellita-based Calibre 5, a 39 mm case, sunburst dial and steel bracelet, which makes it the accessible everyday Carrera rather than a collector's piece. The silver-dial variant is reference WAR211B.BA0782, the otherwise identical black-dial one WAR211A.BA0782.
