The Timex Expedition Base Shock T499759J is the yellow-cased digital in Timex's Expedition range, built for what Timex called outdoor torture tests. The matte resin case is 45 mm across and 16.5 mm thick, with 22 mm lugs, an acrylic lens and a green resin strap, and Timex rated it shock resistant to I.S.O. standards and water resistant to 100 metres. The display gives month, day and date, a 100-hour chronograph with lap and split times, a 99-lap counter, a 24-hour countdown timer with stop and repeat, three daily, weekday or weekend alarms with five-minute backup, two time zone settings and 24-hour time, all readable in the dark on the INDIGLO night-light with Night-Mode.
