The Timex Ironman T5E261 is a full-size digital Ironman Triathlon in a black resin case, carrying the range's 100-lap chronograph and recall memory, multiple alarms, interval timers, and three time zones. It pairs the two Timex signatures of its era: the INDIGLO electroluminescent backlight, which glows the whole dial rather than lighting it from a single point, and Flix, a motion sensor that fires INDIGLO with a flick of the wrist so a runner need not press a button mid-stride. The watch is rated to 100 m. The Ironman Triathlon debuted in the mid-1980s and spent much of the following decade as the best-selling watch in the United States, the mass-market benchmark for the digital sport watch. (Timex)
