Chris Kyle wears a Casio G-Shock DW-6600, the resin square issued to Navy SEALs through the 1990s and 2000s, Kyle's own era, after the Rolex Submariner fell out of the kit list. Introduced in 1994, it followed the earlier DW-5000 and DW-5600 squares SEALs had carried since the 1980s. The choice is grounded in the source material rather than styling: Kyle's own autobiography, which Clint Eastwood's film draws on, records his preference for a G-Shock on active service.
