The Doxa SUB 600T Professional is the orange-dial diver that relaunched Doxa's SUB line in November 2003: a 42.5 mm steel tonneau case rated to 600 m, a no-decompression dive bezel, a beads-of-rice bracelet, and the ETA 2824-2 automatic. The first run was a 3,000-piece Clive Cussler edition, its caseback engraved "Clive Cussler Edition xxx/3000," honouring the author whose hero Dirk Pitt has worn an orange-dial Doxa since the early novels, a tradition Cussler traces to a SUB 300T given to him as a farewell gift from a dive-shop job. Number 490/3000 was the screen-used watch in Sahara. The orange dial itself dates to Doxa's 1967 SUB 300, chosen after underwater visibility testing in Lake Neuchâtel. (Doxa 300T archive; YourProps)
