The Hamilton Hastings is a vintage American Art Deco wristwatch, introduced in 1928 and produced through about 1933. Its rectangular case was offered in solid or filled gold, in yellow or white, spanning roughly 28mm by 34mm including the lugs, with a thin, single-contour bezel that distinguishes it from the stepped-bezel Greenwich of the same era. The dial typically carried luminous numerals and hands over a small sub-seconds register. Inside sits a 6/0-size, 17-jewel Hamilton caliber 987, hand-wound in the manner of the period, with later examples fitted with the 987F. From the height of Hamilton's American manufacturing in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, the Hastings captures the Jazz Age dress aesthetic that defined the brand before its later Swiss chapter (hamiltonchronicles.com).
