The Omega Museum Collection 1938 Aviator Re-Edition (reference 5700.50.07) is a limited re-issue produced in the 2000s that revives a pilot's watch Omega first supplied in 1938. The stainless-steel case measures about 40 mm across but wears large, with oversized luminous Arabic numerals, cathedral hands and a small-seconds sub-dial on a matte black dial, all under a sapphire crystal. A knurled bidirectional bezel with an arrow marker recalls the original's elapsed-time function, and the watch shipped with a long strap meant to be worn over a flight jacket or fastened to the thigh. An automatic calibre 2200 drives it, water resistant to 50 m; just 4,938 pieces were made. (Omega)
