The Panerai Luminor Chrono Daylight (reference PAM00196) is the black-dial steel chronograph Panerai introduced in 2004, the Daylight name a holdover from the pieces the firm made around Sylvester Stallone's 1996 film Daylight. The cushion case measures 44 mm and carries the Luminor family signature: the patented bridge-and-lever device that clamps the winding crown down against its seal. A steel tachymeter bezel rings the black dial, where luminous Arabic numerals and chronograph registers share space with a date window, driven by the OP XII calibre, a COSC-certified automatic built on the Valjoux 7753. The reference ran through the late 2000s before Panerai renewed the Daylight chronograph as the PAM00356 in 2011. (Bernard Watch; Essential Watches)
