Panerai Luminor Marina Automatic
More actions
The Panerai Luminor Marina Automatic is the self-winding version of the watch Panerai relaunched for civilians in 1993, carrying forward the cushion case and half-moon crown-guard bridge the firm had built for Italian navy divers decades earlier. The lever that clamps over the crown is the line's signature and its seal: swing it down and it locks the winding crown against the case for water resistance, so the gesture that identifies the watch is also what keeps it dry. A sandwich dial gives the deep, even glow the name Luminor refers to. The pictured PAM01312 is the current 44 mm automatic on the in-house P.9010, standing here for a configuration the line has issued under many references. (Bob's Watches)
