The Panerai PVD Luminor Marina Militare reference 5218-202/A is a pre-Vendôme model built in tiny numbers around 1993–1994, before Panerai passed to the Vendôme group and became a public brand. Its 44 mm cushion case is black PVD-coated steel with the patented lever crown-guard, and the black sandwich dial reads "LUMINOR PANERAI" above and "MARINA MILITARE" below, its tritium-filled markers recalling the instruments Panerai supplied to the Italian navy. Power comes from a hand-wound ETA/Unitas 6497 with a 46-hour reserve, and the watch is rated to 300 metres. Only about a hundred were made, most delivered to Italian military divers.
