The Patek Philippe 1518 is, by most accounts, the world's first serially produced perpetual calendar chronograph wristwatch — a combination previously reserved for one-off commissions — introduced in 1941 and made until 1954. It packs a chronograph, a perpetual calendar that tracks the uneven months and leap years to 2100, and moon phases onto a single dial, on a manually wound movement in a case around 35 mm. Roughly 281 were made, mostly in yellow gold; four are known in steel, and one of those sold at auction for $11 million in 2016 and $17.6 million later, among the highest prices ever paid for a wristwatch.
