Pochacco (series)

Pochacco is a Sanrio character who debuted in 1989: a curious, clumsy white dog known for taking detours on his walks and for his love of banana ice cream. Sanrio's corporate profile gives his birthday as February 29 and places his birthplace in "Uguisu Alley, on the outskirts of Fuwafuwa Town." Rather than originating in a book, film, or television work, he was conceived as a merchandise character from the start.
