A Polar heart rate monitor watch is a digital, button-activated training watch from the Finnish sports-electronics maker Polar, worn on a rubber strap and paired with a chest transmitter to display a live heart-rate reading. Polar dates the commercial origin of that wireless heart-rate-monitor family to 1982, when its Sport Tester PE2000 entered the market. (Polar) Polar built several such models through the 2000s; where a screen appearance is documented only through an undated or unbranded prop, without a legible model name or reference visible on screen, IMWDb catalogs it at this family level rather than guessing a specific Polar model.
