Watches
- Polar heart rate monitor watch
- Worn by Edward Norton as Bruce Banner. Prop-collector and auction records identify Banner's watch as a Polar brand heart rate monitor: a digital, button-activated watch on a black-and-grey rubber strap with a metal clasp, worn through his breathing and pulse-control exercises in the Brazil sequence. Collectors have offered at least three screen-matched examples of the prop, each carrying a Marvel Studios or Prop Store certificate: an intact watch matched to the Brazil close-ups by its weathering pattern, a second intact watch identified as the one Betty Ross (Liv Tyler) gives Banner, and the broken-strapped watch that tears free of his wrist as he transforms, matched by the strap's hole pattern and a melted twist near the break. (Hollywood History Online, The Movie Reliquary, RPF, PROPbay, archived) IMDb's goofs page for the film independently notes that a pulse-monitor watch of this kind needs its button held down before a reading appears, which Banner's close-ups never show him doing. (IMDb) Montres de Luxe instead named the watch a steel Hamilton Khaki on a steel bracelet; the claim carries no screen or product photograph, only the film's French poster, and names no reference or Polar model.
