The Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea is the 44 mm steel diver Rolex introduced in 2008, rated to 3,900 metres through its patented Ringlock System: a nitrogen-alloyed steel compression ring, a thick domed sapphire crystal, and a titanium caseback that manage pressures a conventional Oyster case cannot. The COSC-certified caliber 3135 inside retains an automatic helium escape valve, and at 17.7 mm thick the case dwarfs any earlier Sea-Dweller. (WatchGuys)
