The Stocker & Yale 184A is an American military-issue field watch from the maker's SANDY series, produced to US military watch specifications with a black dial, fixed-lug composite case and tritium-tube illumination. Stocker & Yale of Salem, New Hampshire supplied issue watches to the US armed forces through the 1980s and 1990s alongside its better-known 490. The 184A was discontinued after the tritium in its night markings was found to be more radioactive than expected, which has made surviving examples a collector's footnote in the milspec field-watch lineage.
