Sumikko Gurashi ("Corner Creatures") is a San-X character franchise created in 2012 by illustrator Yuri Yokomizo, following a cast of anthropomorphized animals and foods, including Shirokuma (a polar bear), Penguin?, Tonkatsu, Neko, and Tokage, all of whom share a fondness for quiet corners. Originally a line of stationery and plush toys, the property has since expanded into anime shorts, television series, and theatrical films, becoming one of San-X's best-selling properties worldwide. (Wikipedia) Seiko's collaboration watch, sold through its PREMICO character-watch imprint, credits the release to the character line generally rather than to any single anime or film.
