The Suunto Ambit3 is the 2014 generation of the Finnish brand's GPS multisport line, sold in Peak, Sport and Run versions of differing capability; reference SS020677000 is the Ambit3 Peak Black, the top model and the one carrying a barometric altimeter. It uses a SiRF star V receiver resolving position to 1 m, displays altitude from -500 to 9999 m, adds a barometer, thermometer and compass, and stores up to 250 points of interest. A rechargeable lithium-ion battery lasts roughly 20 to 200 hours depending on the GPS accuracy selected. The Peak weighs 89 g, is water resistant to 100 m and uses mineral crystal glass, with sapphire reserved for the Sapphire variant, and it talks to sensors and phones over Bluetooth Smart.
