The Suunto Core All Black is the blacked-out version of the outdoor watch the Finnish instrument maker introduced in 2007, and it is less a conventional wristwatch than a wrist-worn ABC instrument, combining an altimeter, a barometer and a compass in one digital package. The composite case carries an aluminium bezel and a mineral crystal over an elastomer strap; the quartz module adds a storm alarm keyed to falling pressure, sunrise and sunset times, and a snorkelling depth gauge good to 10 m. Reviewers testing altimeter watches rated its altitude and barometric readings the most accurate of the group, and the all-black finish became the line's signature look. (Suunto; OutdoorGearLab)
