The TAG Heuer Formula 1 WA1219 is a mid-1990s execution of the collection TAG Heuer launched in 1986, the first new line of the TAG era, named for the brand's Formula One timing heritage and originally built in brightly colored fiberglass-reinforced cases. The WA1219 belongs to the later all-steel generation, one of the references a collector history places in TAG Heuer's 1995/1996 catalog (TAG Heuer Enthusiast): a 34.5 mm brushed-steel case under a navy resin bezel with red accent markers, a white dial printed PROFESSIONAL / 200 METERS / QUARTZ, luminous round markers, a date at 3 o'clock, and a steel jubilee-style bracelet, driven by the ETA 955.414 quartz caliber (B&O Watches). Dated examples run from 1994 to 1998 (Mornington Watches).
