The UNDONE Popeye The Sailorman is the red-and-black half of UNDONE's licensed Popeye collection, a 300-piece Basecamp diver sold under the storefront handle popeye-sailorman in the same September 2020 campaign as the El Capitan. Its black dial carries Popeye with his arms as the hour and minute hands, the character's name in red at 3 o'clock on a California-style dial, Roman numerals above and Arabic 4 and 8 below, in a black case on an elastic parachute-braid strap that UNDONE calls a "Marine Nationale Strap", after the improvised straps French Navy frogmen made from parachute webbing when the service issued watch heads without straps in the late 1950s.
