Ben McKenzie (born 1978) is an American actor from Austin, Texas, who broke out as Ryan Atwood in The O.C., played officer Ben Sherman in the acclaimed police drama Southland, and led five seasons of Gotham (2014–2019) as Detective James Gordon.
