Clark Gable (1901–1960) was an American actor known as "The King of Hollywood," a leading man across more than sixty films from the early 1930s until his death. He won the Academy Award for Best Actor for It Happened One Night (1934) and is best remembered for playing Rhett Butler in Gone with the Wind (1939), one of the highest-grossing films of all time.
