David Caruso (born January 7, 1956) is an American actor from Queens, New York. He won a Golden Globe for playing Detective John Kelly on ABC's NYPD Blue, a role he left after a pay dispute following the first season, and later became the sunglasses-and-one-liner face of the procedural franchise as Lieutenant Horatio Caine across ten seasons of CSI: Miami (2002–2012).
