Dev Patel is a British actor and filmmaker who began as Anwar Kharral in the teen drama Skins. His breakthrough in Slumdog Millionaire earned a BAFTA nomination, and he went on to lead The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and Chappie, later winning a BAFTA and receiving an Academy Award nomination.
