George Macready (1899–1973) was an American stage, film, and television actor whose facial scar, from a 1942 car accident, typecast him as a refined villain across dozens of roles, most famously as the sophisticated Ballin Mundson opposite Rita Hayworth in Gilda (1946) and as General Paul Mireau in Stanley Kubrick's Paths of Glory (1957).
