Joe Lo Truglio, born in 1970, is an American actor and comedian who came up through the 1990s sketch group The State and became a fixture of the David Wain–Michael Showalter comedy circle, appearing in Wet Hot American Summer and Superbad. He played the precinct's devoted, food-obsessed Detective Charles Boyle for all eight seasons of Brooklyn Nine-Nine. (Wikipedia)
