Jon Voight, born in 1938, is an American actor who won the Academy Award for Best Actor for Coming Home (1978) after an Oscar-nominated breakthrough in Midnight Cowboy (1969). His credits span Deliverance (1972), Runaway Train (1985), Heat, Mission: Impossible, Enemy of the State, and Ali (2001), for which he earned a fourth Oscar nomination playing Howard Cosell.
