Masataka Kubota (窪田正孝) is a Japanese actor, born 6 August 1988 in Kanagawa Prefecture, who debuted on television in 2006 and broke through with the title role of Light Yagami in Death Note (2015). He led NHK's Yell (2020) and won the Japan Academy Film Prize and Mainichi Film Award for best supporting actor for A Man (2022); in 2026 he plays the eccentric strategist Jinpachi Ego in Blue Lock, the live-action film adaptation of the soccer manga.
