Miyavi (born Takamasa Ishihara, 1981, in Osaka) is a Japanese guitarist, singer-songwriter, and actor whose percussive, finger-slapping guitar technique earned him the nickname "the Samurai Guitarist" across eight world tours. He crossed into English-language film with a supporting role in Angelina Jolie's Unbroken (2014), followed by Kong: Skull Island (2017) and the live-action Bleach (2018), and played yakuza boss Yoshitaka Toake opposite Jun'ichi Okada in Masato Harada's Hell Dogs (2022).
