Nirmal "Nims" Purja is a Nepali-British mountaineer and former Gurkha and Special Boat Service soldier who summited all 14 of the world's eight-thousander peaks in six months and six days in 2019, a feat nearly seven times faster than the previous record, under his self-funded "Project Possible."
