Philippe Nahon (24 December 1938 – 19 April 2020) was a French character actor who spent the 1970s and 1980s working steadily in television before Gaspar Noé cast him as the nameless, misanthropic butcher of Carne and I Stand Alone, a role he reprised in a cameo in Irréversible. He became a fixture of French horror and thriller cinema in Haute Tension, Calvaire, and Les Rivières pourpres, voiced the innkeeper of the Prancing Pony in the French dub of The Fellowship of the Ring, and plays Janvier in the miniseries Les Beaux Mecs.
