Richard Conte (1910–1975) was an American actor from Jersey City, New Jersey, known for film noir and crime dramas of the 1940s and 1950s, including Call Northside 777, Cry of the City, and House of Strangers. He is best remembered for playing rival Mafia boss Don Emilio Barzini opposite Marlon Brando in Francis Ford Coppola's The Godfather (1972), and appeared alongside Frank Sinatra in Ocean's 11, Tony Rome, and Lady in Cement.
