Sayuri Yoshinaga (born 13 March 1945 in Shibuya, Tokyo) is a Japanese actress active since 1957, with roughly 125 films to her credit and more Japan Academy Prizes for Best Actress (four) than any other actress. Known for Kon Ichikawa's Ohan and The Makioka Sisters and for a long run of collaborations with director Yoji Yamada, including Kabei: Our Mother, she plays the mother Fukue, unexpectedly transformed and newly in love, in Yamada's Mom, Is That You?! (2023). She received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2025 Tokyo International Film Festival. (Wikipedia)
