Tchéky Karyo (born 4 October 1953) is a Turkish-born French actor who has worked in both French and English-language cinema since the early 1980s. He is known for La Femme Nikita (1990), the Russian defence minister in GoldenEye (1995), and the retired detective Julien Baptiste in The Missing (2014), a role substantial enough to carry its own spin-off series, Baptiste (2019 to 2021).
