Tsuyoshi Kusanagi is a Japanese entertainer, born July 9, 1974, who joined the talent agency Johnny & Associates at 13 and rose to fame as a member of the boy band SMAP, co-hosting the variety program SMAP×SMAP for two decades. He has built a parallel acting career spanning film, television, and stage, winning the Japan Academy Film Prize for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for playing a transgender nightclub worker in Midnight Swan (2020), and stars as estate-clearance worker Itsuki Torigai in Rondo behind the Final Curtain.
